Introduction
Fete ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the Fete mobile application and related services.

Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account information: name, email address, profile photo

  • Home city (used for flight cost estimates)

  • Events you add, budget information, and actual spend data

  • Custom events and trip details you create

  • Comments and social interactions within the app

  • Contacts you choose to sync (matched locally, hashed before transmission)

Information collected automatically:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version

  • Usage data and feature interactions

  • Crash reports and performance data

  • Push notification preferences

Information from third parties:

  • Authentication information from Apple or Google if you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google

  • Payment and subscription status through RevenueCat (we do not store payment card details)

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the Fete app and its features

  • To generate personalized budget estimates and event recommendations

  • To send push notifications about your events and action items (with your permission)

  • To enable group planning and social features

  • To process your subscription through RevenueCat

  • To respond to support requests

  • To analyze usage patterns and improve the product

Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us operate Fete (Supabase for data storage, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Anthropic for AI features)

  • With other users when you use social features (friend connections, group events, comments) — only information you choose to share

  • When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you)

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can update or delete your account information in Profile → Settings

  • You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings or in Profile → Notification Settings

  • You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@joinfete.com

  • California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

Children's Privacy
Fete is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@joinfete.com.

Contacts
If you choose to sync your contacts, phone numbers and emails are hashed on your device before being sent to our servers. We use this only to find friends already on Fete. We do not store raw contact information.

Fete uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Fete after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
